Meet the Team

Rachael Livasy, LPC, DBT-LBC, DBT & EMDR Therapy, Clinical Supervisor for LPC (State of MO)

Rachael Livasy, LPC, DBT-LBC

Owner, Licensed Professional Counselor,  DBT-Linehan Board of Certification Certified Clinician & MO LPC Supervisor

Rachael has always been drawn to counseling because of her passion for connecting with and supporting people. She earned her Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from McKendree University while working in a community mental health agency, where she began providing Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)—an experience that shaped her approach to helping clients navigate life’s challenges.

Over the years, Rachael has developed workshops for clients, community presentations, and trainings for other clinicians. She was among the first to earn National Certification from the Linehan Board and later served as Clinical Director, supporting both clients and clinicians in a DBT program.

In 2017, Rachael integrated neurofeedback into her practice to help clients stabilize symptoms and accelerate progress. She focuses on understanding how life experiences, the nervous system, and the brain’s role in self-regulation impact each person—allowing her to tailor interventions to meet individual needs. In 2020, she added EMDR to her repertoire, and in 2025, she advanced her practice to include group EMDR work.

Rachael is committed to helping people feel seen, heard, and supported on their journey toward healing and growth.

My ideal client is someone who wants to address the issues that they are struggling with in an empathetic and validating environment. They may be struggling with anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, or a host of other issues, and they know that when they come to my office they will be working with someone who truly wants to help them. Ideally, their goals would be related to things that they truly care about and want to improve in their lives. My ideal clients wants to find peace within the chaos that everyday life sometimes presents.

I utilize CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing most frequently with my clients. I want to help you in the way that you respond best to, so I am always adapting to my clients and their specific needs.

Regardless of what you are struggling with right now, I want to help you learn how to cope and improve your personal sense of peace. I hope you will reach out to me so that we can determine the best plan of action for you and your mental health.

Rachael Rice, LPC

Licensed Professional Counselor

I value connection, honesty, open-mindedness, and willingness, and believe these qualities are vital to healing, learning, and growing.

I consider it a great honor when someone invites me into their vulnerable moments in therapy. Over the last few years, I have worked primarily in crisis intervention and suicide prevention and postvention. I have provided services for adolescents and adults, both individually and in group settings.

I first delivered comprehensive DBT during my internship in graduate school, and now offer it to adolescents and adults here at Still Move. I also enjoy providing other forms of behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and narrative therapy. No matter the therapy, I always operate from a person-centered lens, ensuring that the process is collaborative and clients are empowered to implement desired changes in their lives.

I enjoy working with clients who may feel as if their life is out of control, and there is no hope left to find healing. Maybe you struggle with borderline personality disorder, risky behaviors, self-injury, thoughts of suicide, or even past attempts. Perhaps you experience hopelessness or despair that feels crushing, and you do not know how to move forward. If you relate to any of this, I would love to come alongside you and offer a non-judgmental space to work on your goals.

Ten years ago, I began therapy as a client, and it saved my life. I have experienced first-hand the transformational process of building a therapeutic relationship with a counselor. Now, I have the privilege to experience that same transformational relationship as a clinician.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology from Truman State University, then graduating with my MSW from the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis. In the last seven years, I have worked with people ages 6 to 100 in the areas of grief and bereavement, memory care, trauma, suicidality, self-harm, addiction, OCD, BPD, and bipolar disorder.  My skills are based in CBT and DBT, but I believe the modality is second to the therapeutic relationship. Each client is unique; therefore, their care should be too. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I welcome clients from all walks of life, identities and belief systems.

Outside of therapy, I am passionate about joyful movement/exercise, women’s sports, my two cats, artistic expression and the perfect movie night at home.
