Often when people are born experiencing a sensitivity to emotions they find themselves overwhelmed by intense emotion and may react without thinking. In addition, people often receive feedback that "you're too sensitive", "it's not that big of a deal" or "Why aren't you over that yet?".
Emotion Dysregulation creates a conflict between avoiding emotions or being flooded by them. Everyone finds ways to cope with powerful painful emotions. Unfortunately, the most relieving actions can be detrimental to a life worth living (i.e. suicidality, self-harm, substance use, reactivity/impulsivity, avoidance, disordered eating).

Teen Skills Course is a DBT informed class just for teens, that meets weekly for 16 weeks! Get a boost in coping skills that includes mindfulness, emotion regulation, communication skills and tolerating distress!
Comprehensive DBT provides a higher level of care to both teens and families. This modality helps reduce life threatening behaviors and "stuck" points or conflict at home.

Neurofeedback is a
non-invasive approach to help stabilize the brain so that it can function more effectively, allowing you to experience relief regardless of your unique stress.
While there is nothing wrong with your brain, it’s important to note that there is not a perfect brain.
A brain map (or qEEG) is used to understand how each section of your brain is functioning and identifies brain underactivity or overactivity.
The neurofeedback training is based off the qEEG data and intake assessment where the protocols are designed to relieve and/or improve efficiency.

Exhaustion seems to be the norm. Cycling between constantly doing and moving to being unable to continue or feeling apathetic in your life.
